Rural Life Centre genealogy software page

The Rural Life Centre is pleased to host here any freely available public domain genealogy software that will be of use to family historians.

As the museum is run almost entirely on RISC OS based computers, we have an inclination towards software that runs on those computers. Please check before downloading that the software is suitable for your computer.

RISC OS Software

Rob Hemmings' GedText - this converts Gedcom files to plain text and DDF for use in Easi/Techwriter, Impression and Ovation Pro. The latest version deals very well with files produced from family trees produced on the Ancestry.com (and co.uk) websites. More details will follow here soon.
