Also listed are links to towns and features in the area around the Rural Life Centre to help you plan an interesting day or weekend when you visit us.

The Rural Life Centre is also associated with various other historical and preservation organisations, and in fact houses some of their exhibits. Links to these organisations' web pages are also provided for your interest.

• The Bridge at Pierrepont Hotel - a friendly hotel on the banks of the river Wey, less than a mile from the museum in Frensham village.
• The Rockery - a small and friendly bed and breakfast establishment in Haslemere, Surrey about ten miles from the museum.
• Farnham Bed and Breakfast - very conventiently situated for museum visitors in south Farnham. The museum can be easily reached from here by a short car or cycle journey or a pleasant walk which is mainly off-road through the adjoining countryside.

Local History, Groups and Societies

• The Headley Society
• During the second world war, the local area was "occupied" by Canadian troops. Tweedsmuir Camp was one of the largest bases and after the war this became a temporary home for "displaced persons". This website has been constructed by members of a family who lived there and are trying to record a full history of this "forgotten corner". The museum has in store a collection of camp artefacts which we hope to display in the future.
